We offer both sclerotherapy and laser for leg vein therapy. Sclerotherapy is still the gold standard for treating leg veins, period. Don't be mislead by being offered laser as the primary treatment for leg veins. Sclerotherapy is more effective and has fewer side effects than laser. Laser leg vein treatment is used for unique situations only.

We do an ultrasound exam on all patients to rule out underlying venous insufficiency that could cause the treatments to fail.  If you or someone you know has had leg vein treatments and the veins came back this may be why. If underlying feeder veins below the skin that can't be seen with the eye but that could have been detected with ultrasound were not treated, recurrences are likely.  The veins may come back and be worse than before.
